Plan Administrator - MBA - Employee Assistance Program

As a member of a MBA Trust health insurance plan, you and your dependents have access to Magellan Behavioral Health’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP) if your company has elected to include it as part of your benefit package. Your Employee Assistance Program is a confidential counseling and referral service that can help you, your household members, and your dependents with life management skills. Assistance is available with issues like: work stress, family and parenting problems, marital or relationship problems, anxiety or depression, anger management, alcohol or drug dependencies, coping with change, and coping with grief or bereavement.

Your EAP is a comprehensive, nationwide network of licensed and experienced counselors, including psychologists, clinical social workers, certified alcohol and drug counselors, and marriage, family and child counselors. This is a prepaid benefit and there are no copays. All calls and counseling sessions are confidential, except as required by law. Phone calls are unlimited and free, and three in-person consultations per incident are included as a benefit. If you are referred to resources outside of the EAP network, and you choose to use those resources, any resulting fees would be your responsibility.

The 24-hour toll-free phone number for your EAP is 1-800-523-5668.
